Subject: Revision of rent for Anganwadi Centres under the ICDS
Sir/Madam,
I am directed to refer this Ministry’s letter of even number dated 24th August 2005 and 25th September 2006 on the subject mentioned above and to say that the Government of have decided to further revised upward the rent of Anganwadi Centres as under:
(i) Rs. 200/- per month per Anganwadi Centre in Rural and Tribal Projects.
(ii) Rs. 750/- per month per Anganwadi Centre in Urban Projects.
2.The Revised rates of rent will be applicable from 1st Februray, 2007 and would remain in force until further orders
3.The expenditure on the account of rent would continue to be met from the funds released for implementation of ICDS (General) Scheme.
4.Receipt of the letter may kindly be acknowledged
5.The modified instruction for payment of rent of Anganwadi Centres, issued vide this Ministry’s letter of even number dated 25th September, 2006 will however remain unchanged.
